  • ANNIVERSARIES

    Spegals celebrate 60 years
    Eunice Lawrence and Harry (Pete) Spegal were married on Oct. 25, 1952.
    After Pete’s service in the U.S. Army in Stettgar, Germany, they were married in Lawrenceberg, Ind.
    After living in Latonia until 1958, they moved to the Lawrence Farm in Mt. Zion, where they still reside.
    They have three daughters, Linda Baker of Mt. Zion, Kimberly and Kerry Curry of Dry Ridge and Karen Spegal of Crescent Springs. They also have six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  • WEDDINGS

    Jessica Fredericks and Phillip Brann were united in marriage on July 14, 2012 at the Williamstown Baptist Church.
    The bride is the daughter of Dale and Lynnette Fredericks of Crown Point, Ind. and is an elementary teacher at Williamstown Elementary School.
    The groom is the son of Donald and Louise Brann of Williamstown and is a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley.

    What motivated you to live a healthier lifestyle? As they retired they wanted to remain active.

    How have you changed your lifestyle in order to be healthier?  Both of us try to eat healthy and like Silver Sneakers at Body Works Gym.  

  • BIRTHDAY

    Loretta Jones Epperson of Corinth, celebrated her 95th birthday with family on Aug. 18 . She is the mother of Bobby (Juanita) Jones of Berry, Henry and Leroy Jones of Corinth, Gladys (Donald) Poe  of Corinth and Bonnie Jones of Ft. Mitchell.


    She is a retired primary Sunday School teacher at New Columbus Baptist, where she is still a member. Family members performed a musical concert with all her favorite songs.
     

  • Webster-Davis wed Oct. 13

    Donald and Charlene Davis of Corinth are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Marie Davis to Jared Lawrence Webster, son of Dennis and Tena Webster of Dry Ridge.

    The wedding is being planned for 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2012 at the Grant County Fairgrounds.

    The bride is a 2008 graduate of Harrison County High School. She is employed by Kentucky Federal Savings and Loan.

    The groom is a 2005 graduate of Grant County High School. He is employed by Qualex LLC.

  • Crouse-Reed wed on Oct. 20

    Rev. Roger D. and Diana L. Crouse are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Megan Marie Crouse of Berry to Elwyn Blane Reed of Woodville Miss, son of  Elwyn C. Reed and Stephanie E. Reed also of Woodville, Miss.

    The wedding is being planned for 4 p.m. Oct. 20, 2012, at Connersville Christian Church by invitation.

    The couple met on a mission trip to Redbird Mission in Clay County in 2010.

  • Daileys celebrate 50 years

    Andrew Dailey and Shirley Brock Dailey, of Owenton, will celebrate their 50th anniversary at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27, 2012.  They were married at the Stewartsville Baptist Church in 1962 by Rev. Elwood Mack. They have five children and 19 grandchildren. Family and friends welcome.

  • Crittenden resident honored for promoting justice

    Tara Boh Klute recognized for promoting pretrial justice
    Tara Boh Klute, head of the statewide Pretrial Services program for the Administrative Office of the Courts, has received the 2012 Public Advocate Award from the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy for promoting pretrial justice. State Public Advocate Ed Monahan presented the award to Klute at the DPA’s Public Defender Education Conference in Louisville on June 5. The award is given annually to individuals who advance justice in the commonwealth.

  • Hensley-Browning wed Sept. 29

    Shelia Hensley of Dry Ridge is pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of her daughter, Shelee Marie Hensley to Sonny Lee Browning, son of Pamela Dillion of Independence and Larry Browning of Corinth.

    Hensley is also the daughter of the late Audie Webster.

    The wedding is being planned for 6 p.m. on Sept. 29 at the Sherman Full Gospel. A reception will follow at St. Joseph Academy Hall.
