  • Grayson - Osborne set date

    Kevin and Kathy Grayson of Cynthiana are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Laynee Grayson of Dry Ridge to David Osborne, of Dry Ridge, son of Barbara Osborne of Williamstown and the late Roy H. Osborne.

    The wedding is being planned for 4 p.m. on April 20, 2013 at the Williamstown United Methodist Church.

    Invitations will be sent in March.

    The family of Zachary and Emma Dunaway-Milner family reunion will be held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Walton Senior Citizen Building. Bring a covered dish.

    Vincent
    The 28th annual Vincent family reunion was held Oct. 6 at Mammoth Cave National Park in Edmonson County. An annual Vincent family reunion has been held at Mammoth Cave since 1984.
    The reunion idea was spearheaded by Howell W. Vincent, a well known Covington attorney.

    Thirty-eight people shopped at the first every Cash Mob on Sept. 27, spending a minimum of $10 between Williamstown’s Mini Mall, HD Computers, Harold Moore’s Print and Frame Shop and Hobbies and Such.  

  • Local residents meets Turtleman

    Hagen Hedger and Haley Griffin stood in line for over seven hours to see Ernie Brown Jr., “The Turtle Man” recently at Lancaster, Ky.
    Brown, from Marion County, Ky., is the star of Animal Planet’s “Call of the Wildman.”

  • Local judges participate in District Judge College

    District Court Judges Elizabeth A. Chandler and Thomas M. Funk who serve Grant County participated in the 2012 Kentucky District Judge College that took place on Sept. 16 – Sept. 19 at Lake Barkley State Park in Cadiz, Ky. The Administrative Office of the Courts provided the judicial education for the state’s district court judges.

  • O’Neill, Wilson wed July 11, 2012

    Debra Ann O’Neill and Brad Wilson were united in marriage on July 11, 2012 in Savannah, Ga. The wedding took place in a beautiful gazebo in Whitfield Square.

    The bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Diana Lynn Nicely and Sue Ellen Stamper.

    The groomsmen were the groom’s soon to be brother-in-laws, Brian Nicely and Rob Stamper.

  • ANNIVERSARIES

    Spegals celebrate 60 years
    Eunice Lawrence and Harry (Pete) Spegal were married on Oct. 25, 1952.
    After Pete’s service in the U.S. Army in Stettgar, Germany, they were married in Lawrenceberg, Ind.
    After living in Latonia until 1958, they moved to the Lawrence Farm in Mt. Zion, where they still reside.
    They have three daughters, Linda Baker of Mt. Zion, Kimberly and Kerry Curry of Dry Ridge and Karen Spegal of Crescent Springs. They also have six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

    Jessica Fredericks and Phillip Brann were united in marriage on July 14, 2012 at the Williamstown Baptist Church.
    The bride is the daughter of Dale and Lynnette Fredericks of Crown Point, Ind. and is an elementary teacher at Williamstown Elementary School.
    The groom is the son of Donald and Louise Brann of Williamstown and is a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley.
