  • Poet’s Corner

    Gone,

    but not forgotten --

    your memory still living

    in the lives of those

to whom your smile was given.

    Gone,

    home to Heaven --

    your legs are both healed,

and you are walking with Jesus

    through endless green fields.

    Gone,

    from our lives,

    yet watching from above.

You cheer with us, cry with us

    and send us your love.

    Gone,

    from your humble home

    to a mansion on high.

You will greet us in that green field

when our own time is nigh.
