  • Horn-Coleman to wed

     

     

    David and Carolyn Horn of Williamstown are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kendal Elizabeth Horn to Adam Christopher Coleman, son of Charles and Vivian Coleman of Lancaster, Ohio. 

  • Porter-Jones plan ceremony

     

     

    Ray and Sue Porter of Dry Ridge are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jaclyn Porter to Casey Jones, son of Allen and Rita Jones of Walton.

  • Blaze, boy. April 9, 2013

     

    Matthew and Ashlee Blaze of Williamstown would like to announce the birth of their son, Justice Radlee Blaze. He was born at 11:46 p.m. on April 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He weighed 8 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20.75 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Gary and Joy Phipps of Florence.

  • Duck Stamp Art Winners

     

    2013 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest winners - Lucas Art of Williamstown entered three Grant County students in the 2013 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest. There were a total of 1,152 entries across the state of Kentucky. Anna Luu and Savannah Fowler each placed first in their age group and Daniel Goderwis placed second in his age group. Mary Lucas is their art instructor. 

  • Disaster volunteers honored

     

     The American Red Cross held their Volunteer Recognition dinner recently in Cincinnati. Greg Nix received the “You Make a Difference Award” for the time and commitment he’s shown since he’s joined the Grant County Team in a year and a half. Nancy Owens received a five-year of service pin and Diana Morgan received a 20-year service pin and plaque. Morgan serves as the Grant County unit coordinator.  

  • Collins graduates basic training

     

    Chris Collins of the Williamstown Police Department was one of 27 law enforcement officers from 19 agencies across the state to graduate May 3 from basic training at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training.

  • Maines completes sergeants course

     

    Brian Maines, of Williamstown, was one of 20 law enforcement officers from across the state that were recognized at a graduation ceremony April 19 for completing the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Academy of Police Supervision
