  • Thoroughman to appear on NPR’s ‘From The Top’

    Lilyanne Thoroughman, a 10-year-old violinist of Williamstown, will appear on an upcoming episode of “From the Top”, the hit NPR radio program featuring America’s best young classical musicians and hosted by acclaimed pianist Christopher O’Riley.

  • DAR presents Byrne, Kinsey with awards

    The Captain John Lillard Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met April 18 the Williamstown Senior Center. During that meeting, the chapter held an award ceremony. The chapter handed out two awards to exceptional students.

  • Poole appointed to Kentucky Board of Pharmacy by Gov. Matt Bevin

    Ron Poole of Central City was recently appointed to the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy by Gov. Matt Bevin.

    The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy consists of six members appointed by the governor and serves the Commonwealth to promote, preserve, and protect the public health, safety, and welfare through effective regulation of the practice of pharmacy.

  • Marshall, girl, April 5, 2017

    Bryan and Kelly Marshall of Erlanger would like to announce the birth of their third child.
    Ella Ruth Marshall was born at 11:07 a.m. April 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood.

    She weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Her maternal grandparents are Ron Coyle of Edgewood and the late Doris Coyle.

    Her paternal grandparents are Ralph and Bonita Marshall of Villa Hills.

    Ella was welcomed home by her big brothers, Austin and Landon.
     

  • Ashcraft to perform on Midnite Jamboree

    Williamstown High School 1965 graduate Judy Ashcraft has been honored to perform on Nashville’s long running Midnite Jamboree on May 6.

    It is the Jamboree’s 70th anniversary show featuring many well known country music stars and independent artists.
    The Midnite Jamboree is broadcast each Saturday night following the legendary Grand Ole Opry on radio station WSM.

  • Miller- Harp to wed June 17, 2017

    Tammy and Troy Walling of Walton and Mark and Janet Miller of Dry Ridge are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ronni-Ann Miller of Crittenden to Paul Everett Harp, son of Pete Harp of Crittenden.

    The wedding is being planned for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Grant County Park in Crittenden.

    A reception will follow at the cattle barn at the park.
    The bride is a graduate of Grant County High School.

  • Anderson-Siedenberg to wed April 7, 2017

    James and Jennifer Anderson of Owenton are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Anderson to Jacob Siedenberg, son of John and Brigitte Siedenberg of Williamstown.

    The bride is a graduate of Williamstown High School.

    She is also a 2016 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. Anderson graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a bachelor of arts in elementary education and special education.

    The Captain John Lillard, NSDAR chapter, honored Grant County World War II veterans in remembrance of the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Vice Regent Elisabeth Chiang, began with remarks about the 75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor.  Chiang reminded everyone that on Dec. 7, 1941 the United States of America came under a surprise attack by the
