Michael and Lisa Henry of Williamstown would like to announce the birth of their third child. Tyler Dean Henry was born at 11:22 p.m. on Sept. 24, 2011 at  St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

    He weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 18.5 inches long.

    His maternal grandparents are Charles and Margaret Alexander of Concord.

    His paternal grandparents are Garry and Patsy Henry of Corinth. Tyler was welcomed home by family and friends.

  • WHS holds Alumni banquet May 26

    The Williamstown Alumni Banquet will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at the Williamstown High School gymnasium. Social Hour and registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. The annual alumni banquet is for all graduates of the Williamstown High School and the classes of 1932, 1937, 1942, 1952, 1962, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002 and the class of 2012 graduates will be honored.


    The Northern Kentucky Tea Party is sponsoring an “End of the Error” from 1 to 5 p.m. on April 28 at the Boone County Fairgrounds. This rally is to educate and motivate voters to end the era of the Obama reign of government. The rally is a gathering of patriots and those interested in learning about fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets and other principals of the Tea Party.

  • ‘Living Doll’ celebrates 96th birthday

    Agnes Beach, known throughout the community as the “doll lady,” celebrated her 96th birthday April 22 attending church services at Dry Ridge Baptist with her daughter, Agnes Johnson and family of Leitchfield.


    Joe and Gina Magee of Williamstown are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Adrienne Marie Magee to Jason Webster, son of Pat Conrad and Morris Webster of Williamstown.

    The wedding is being planned for 5 p.m. on May 5, 2012, at Mason Baptist church. A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall.

    The bride is a 2011 graduate of Grant County High School. She is also attending Northern Kentucky University. She is employed by Grant Manor.

    What motivated you to live a healthier lifestyle? Living a healthier lifestyle was a decision that I did not have to make. When I was coming out of elementary school my doctor told me I had one option and that was to take control of my weight. If I did not I would not have a chance to see the age of 50. With the help of both my parents, we took that first step.

  • Lovell, Calhoun serve as pages for Rep. Adams

    Nolan Calhoun, son of Amanda and Michael Calhoun, served as a page of Rep. Royce Adams. He was selected as the winner of an art and essay contest. “It was an honor to serve Royce Adams as a page,” Calhoun said.
