  • Butler named president-elect of KET Friends Board

    Mary Butler of Dry Ridge has been named president-elect of the KET Friends Board, a statewide network of volunteers who work to advance KET’s mission in their communities.

    Butler has been a Friends Board member since 2009 and served as secretary/treasurer in 2011-12.

    Members of the KET Friends Board promote programs and services in their own communities, plan and host special events, and meet several times a year to share ideas for new initiatives. The board includes representatives from each of 35 districts that together cover all 120 Kentucky counties.

  • BIRTHS

    Brandon and Amber Harris of Crittenden would like to announce the birth of their second child. Jordan Andrew Harris was born at 11:05 a.m. on May 3, 2012 at  St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

    He weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. His maternal grandparents are Cecil and Peggy Jackson of Crittenden.

    His maternal great grandparents are Johnny and Janet Bryant and Phillip and Thelma Brown.

    His paternal grandparents are Rick and Junell Harris of Williamstown.

  • Hendy - Schieding to wed

    Jim Hendy and Paula Cull Hendy of Dry Ridge are pleased to  announce the engagement and forth coming marriage of their daughter, Leslie Caryn Hendy to Jason Schieding, son of Jeff and Cheryl Schieding of Eaton, Ohio.

    An October wedding is being planned at Cincinnati Music Hall with a reception in the banquet hall.

    The bride is a 2006 graduate of Williamstown High School and a 2011 graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor or Arts degree and is employed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

  • Horn - Sullivan set date

    David and Carolyn Horn are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shelby Horn, to Tyler Sullivan, son of Robbie and Michelle Thompson of Dry Ridge.


    The wedding is being planned for 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2012 at the Grant County Fairgrounds, Baton Rouge Road, Williamstown.

    Tim and Tiffany Fox of Dry Ridge would like to announce the birth of their second child. Sage Brook Fox was born at 8:40 a.m. on April 9, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

    She weighed eight pounds and 10 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long. Her maternal grandparents are Tim and Sharon Beach of Dry Ridge.

    Her maternal great grandparents are Opal Beach of Dry Ridge and Jesse and Mendola Colson of Corinth. Her paternal grandparents are Frank and Linda Fox of Crittenden.

    Sage was welcomed home by her big sister, Maci.
