  • Cook celebrates 40th birthday

     Mr. and Mrs. Elbridge Cook Jr. and family would like to invite friends to celebrate the 40th birthday of their daughter, Paula Cook. Cook is a 1996 graduate of Grant County High School. This surprise celebration will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Williamstown on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.

     

  • REUNIONS

    CLASS OF 1972
    The GCHS Class of 1972 45th class reunion with potluck picnic will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the cattle barn at Grant County Park in Crittenden. Fried chicken, rolls, drinks and dessert will be provided. Bring a chair and a dish to share. Dinner will start at 5 p.m. Couples cost $25 and singles cost $15. Make checks payable to: GCHS Class of 1972 and return to Libby Breeden Jackson, 287 Shawnee Run Road, Dry Ridge, KY 41035.

     

  • Lloyd Area Skeet Club wins KSSA Team trophy

    The five-man team from the Lloyd Area Skeet Club at the Lloyd Area Wildlife Preserve in Crittenden won the Kentucky Skeet Shooting Association (KSSA) team trophy. The annual contest, started many years ago, pits five members from the different skeet clubs in Kentucky against each other in the 12-gauge match competition.

  • Former Grant County residents honored

    Ruth and Harold Odor, formerly of Grant County, will be honored at the Hall of Faith banquet to be held Friday, Sept. 29 in Mason, Ohio.
    Each year, the Christian communities operated by the Christian Benevolent Association recognize honorees who have led lives of service to churches and communities.

  • Work-Ice to wed Sept. 2

    Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and Lynn Work would like to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their son Ryan Scott Work of Dry Ridge to Kristen Brooke Ice of Bardstown, daughter of Mr. Robert Ice and the late Mrs. Linda Ice.
    The wedding is being planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 at My Old Kentucky Home in Bardstown. Reception will follow at the same location.

    The bride is a 2005 graduate of Bellarmine University.
    She is employed at Schmidt Insurance Agency in Louisville.

  • Nantz-Waller to wed Sept. 23

    Jamie Baker of Dry Ridge and Jeff Nantz of Lexington are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine Frances Nantz to Jonathon Zachery Waller of Tompkinsville, son of Jonathan Waller and the late Shanna Hoover.

    The wedding is planned for Sept. 23, 2017.

    The bride is a 2011 graduate of Williamstown High School. She is also a 2014 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in communications.
