  • Grant County Extension offers community classes

    The Grant County Extension office, 105 Baton Rouge Road, Williamstown, will be offering the following classes:
     • Jan. 25 - Basic Sewing from 12:30 to 4 p.m.
    Learn how to use a sewing machine and make some simple projects. Class size limited to 10. Call 859-824-3355 to register
    • January through May – Quilting: Block of the month
    Make two blocks a month. Meets from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the first and third Mondays of each month. For experienced quilters. Call 859-824-3355 for more information.

  • Relay kickoff set for Jan. 17

    Let’s get this party started! The Grant County Relay For Life will hold a kickoff at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 17 at the Grant County Extension Office on Baton Rouge Road in Williamstown.

    The relay is the signature fund raising event for the American Cancer Society. Money is used for programs and research. The kickoff event is open to business owners, team captains, cancer survivors or those just wanting more information about the relay.

  • One Warm Coat offers free winter wear

    One Warm Coat is a program sponsored by the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission and the Grant County Homemakers to provide winter clothing for Grant County residents.
    Donations of new or gently used jackets and coats are needed. To make a donation, call Kim Curtis at 859-824-4768 or e-mail kcurtis@nkcac.org or call Patty Poor at 859-824-3355 or e-mail Patricia.poor@uky.edu.
    Coat bins will also be located at the Grant County Extension Office, 105 Baton Rouge Road, Williamstown and at the CAC office in Williamstown.
