  • Holiday spices from tropical plants

  • GCHS Class of 1996 planning for 2011

    The Grant County High School Class of 1996 will hold their 15-year reunion at 7 p.m. Sept. 24, 2011at the Double Tree Inn, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport.
    The cost is $35 per person and includes a buffet dinner and entertainment. Reservations should be made immediately. Please RSVP, with payment by check made payable to Gena True, 5085 Waynesville-Jamestown Road, Jamestown, Ohio 45335.

  • Stop smoking program scheduled

    There will be a Cooper Clayton Method of stop smoking program offered from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, beginning Jan. 13 at Dry Ridge Toyota, 9 Taft Highway, Dry Ridge.

  • Operation Imagination offers free programs

    Operation Imagination, a free program for children ages 1 through 6, will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Grant County Board of Education office, 820 Arnie Rise Blvd., Williamstown, on the following dates:
    • Dec. 16
    • Feb. 17, 2011
    • April 21, 2011
    The program is sponsored by Grant County Community Education and will include evening story time, movement and dancing, singing and crafts based on the theme of the evening. For more information, or to register, call Jill Marksberry at 859-824-2871.
     

  • Wreath ceremony scheduled for Dec. 11

    Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North will participate with Wreaths Across America ceremonies for fallen heroes of on Dec. 11. These ceremonies will be held simultaneously with about 500 others in the United States and 24 off-shore.
