    (written by grandmother Darlene Breeden)

My Mommy and Daddy loves me so much. They snuggle me up and tickle me so good that I don’t have to laugh.

They play board games with me. They play Wii with me. They pay attention to me even when my little baby brother is crying for his bottle.

They take me to Chuck E. Cheeses and the mall.

When I go to Granny’s to stay all night and I miss them and want to go home, they come and get me.

    Brother – Don Johnson
by – Carolyn King, Dry Ridge

I think Don Johnson should be a special Valentine. He is my big brother. There may be 18 years between us in age, but we are very close.

My dad passed away when I was in high school. Don is the one who bought my wedding gown, and he is also the one who gave me away on my wedding day.

  • Scout Sunday observed at WCC

Boy Scout Troop 712 and Cub Scout Pack 318 participated in Scout Sunday at Williamstown Christian Church on Feb 6. All scouts were encouraged to wear their scout uniform to their own church and/or participate in their own church’s Scout Sunday program.
The Boy Scouts of America annually celebrates its founding on Feb. 8, 1910, based on the program started by Lord Baden Powell in England on Aug. 1, 1907. Scout Sunday was added to the Scout celebration in the middle 1940s. Scout Sunday is always the Sunday preceding Feb. 8, unless the date actually falls on Sunday.

    Father – Bobby Jewell
    by – Dora Partin

I would like to tell you what makes my dad so special. Dad is not only special to me, but to most anyone, who has had the opportunity to know him.

My dad is the most good-hearted, caring and loving person in the world. He always has a smile on his face and a kind word to say.

Dad has touched the lives of so many in the Grant County community. When they were sad, troubled or down and out, dad never turned anyone away, but helped them in someway.
