    Each year Grant County residents receive holiday assistance for children from generous donations from the community.

    The Grant County Holiday Assistance Programs in collaboration with the Family Resource Youth Services Centers and Grant County Community Service Program would like to share the following information:

    Each year Grant County residents receive holiday assistance for children from generous donations from the community.

    This year registration will be at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Grant County Courthouse  in the Community Service Office for families wishing to receive assistance.

  • WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GRANT COUNTY?

    • Oct. 27 – Shopper’s Showcase – Buy local and shop at the Grant County Extension Office from 4 to 8 p.m. Vendors include:crafts, candles, Mary Kay, metal works, quilted items, jewelry, baby items, purses, crochet items, hand painted ornaments and many great stocking suffers and gift giving ideas.
    Food will be available for purchase.
    Grant Co Extension Homemakers are the sponsors for the event.

  • WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GRANT COUNTY?

    The National Safety Council will hold a CPR and First Aid Class from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m, on Nov. 9. at the Williamstown Volunteer Fire Department.

    The American Cancer Society and St. Elizabeth Grant Co. are offering Look Good Feel Better at 6 p.m. on Nov 7, a program for female cancer patients who are in treatment.
    Learn how to enhance your appearance with free makeup for the holidays.
    The program is free to all participants. Contact your American Cancer Society at 859-647-2200 to register for the session (RSVP required.)

  • WHAT’S HAPPENING IN GRANT COUNTY?

    The Williamstown Baptist Church is again delivering Hope Thanksgiving Day meals to shut-ins and those in need throughout Grant County. In 2010, this project reached over 550 people in the community, the largest number since this ministry started. The meals will be delivered by noon on Thanksgiving day. If there is someone in need of a hot Thanksgiving meal with all of the trimmings, contact the church at 859-824-4102 and ask for Diane. The deadline for reservations is Nov. 20.
