Despite the fact Grant County High School boys' golfer Zach Wright is entering his sophomore season on the links, he has already made a name for himself.
As a freshman, Wright was a member of the Braves state-qualifying team, shooting a round of 80 in their lone day in the state tournament; however, it is his work and play during the summer that has garnered attention.
Last month, Wright won the Northern Kentucky Junior Amateur championship for golfers ages 13-14. Wright, who fired rounds of 76 and 74, defeated Phoenix Ramsey in a playoff to claim the championship.
