World's smallest mom has third child

Stacey Herald may be the World’s Smallest Mom, but her love for her children is larger than life.

At only 2 feet 4 inches tall, doctors always warned Stacey, who lives in Dry Ridge with her husband Wil, that she and her baby may not survive a pregnancy.

Undeterred by the risks, Stacey and Wil welcomed their third child, Malachi, on Nov. 18, 2009.

Malachi only weighed 2 pounds 10 ounces and was 14 inches long at birth.

He joined sibling sisters, Kateri, 3, and Makya, 2, in the Herald family.

“We know that God has a hand in everything,” Stacey said. “If you look at it logically, my little 28-inch body from head to heel, not even right where the baby is, how is that physically possible for three little babies to grow? It can only be the grace of God.”
