I was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident in September 2011. I hydroplaned, hit a guardrail and flipped my truck. I had serious injuries, multiple fractures and both of my legs were mangled. Doctors told me I was millimeters from death.
The entire first week after the accident, the doctors contemplated amputating my right leg. That morning my EMT was Wanda Hammons. Not only did she save my life, but she figured out my right leg was actually rotated 180 degrees and bent back under me depriving it of blood.
