Groups appreciate solid waste program

Crittenden Baptist Challengers did trash pick up on Oct. 23, on two roads. There was still a lot of trash along the road. It was cleaner than last year. I hope people are understanding not to litter on the sides of the roads. It was a great day to be outside in great weather.
I want to thank Grant County to give me the chance to pick up trash and make our county cleaner. We also picked up four tires and a big wire cage.
Maybe next year we won’t have to pick up as much trash as this year. It was exciting and fun and I can’t wait until next year.

I want to thank the solid waste management board for providing me the opportunity to make a profit for my basketball team by cleaning up our county roads.
This was a learning experience. I learned that people need to be more concerned with the way they are treating our ecosystem. I think people should take the time to put trash in its proper place. If everyone would just do their part, our roads and county would look a lot better.
Again, thank you for allowing us to make money for our team and help out our community.

On behalf of the Williamstown Girls Softball Team, we would like to thank the  solid waste management board for the opportunity to pick up trash on Nov. 13. We realize that a lot of organizations are striving for the chance to not only clean up our community, but to earn some funds, and we truly do appreciate it.

We are thankful to be given the opportunty to pick up trash along the side of the road.
We don’t understand why so may people find it necessary to litter. Grant County has such beautiful landscapes and scenery, that it’s shameful to see it littered with fast food papers and liquor bottles.
