GCHS coaches, players are good citizens

By The Staff

I want to commend the Grant County High School football coaches and players regarding their courteous, polite, and respectful conduct they exhibited during their trip to their football game at Anderson County.

Finally, when public schools are ridiculed for the low academic standards, poor student achievement and schools failing to teach any values, responsibility, citizenship, and respect, I must say I was impressed with the GCHS students and coaches I had on this trip. Grant County should be proud. As I get older (be careful of what you think), I am concerned about the youth today. My experiences as a charter bus driver give me pause to be hopeful for the future of our local communities and our country.

Again, keep up the good work.
