Wet vote set for Dec. 22

-A A +A

The decision whether or not Grant County goes “wet” will be in the hands of the voters on Dec. 22.
Judge-Executive Stephen Wood has issued an order setting a vote on the county-wide sale of alcohol after a citizen petition was certified allowing the special election.
“There are certain constraints in the statute as to when you are to set wet dry votes and having just completed a general election, this is the first date that works at a time when the schools are not in session and can be used as polling places,” Wood said.
