Lucas Alger was named the player of the week for his performance against Conner Oct. 14. Alger had three catches for 69 yards in his first start. He filled in for the injured wide receiver Jordan Martin. Coach David Arvin said Alger played well and wasn’t nervous on the field. The Braves finished their season on a high note, defeating Fleming County 24-0 Oct. 28 in Flemingsburg. Grant County finished the season 3-7, a one-game improvement from last season.
