Varner competes in National American Miss

Kailey Ann Varner, 9, of Williamstown, competed in the National American Miss Pageant on June 2 in Louisville. She was awarded third runner up out of 61 girls in her division and the Miss Personality first runner up.  

The National American Miss pageants are based on inner beauty, as well as poise and presentation and offers an All-American spirit of fun for family and friends with an emphasis placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition and setting and achieving personal goals.  The pageant seeks to recognize the accomplishments of each girl while encouraging her to set goals for the future.

Varner is the daughter of Kim Varner and the granddaughter of Billy and Brenda Webster and is a fourth grade student at Williamstown Independent Schools.
