Teams forming for Dragon boat race
Have you ever paddled on a dragon boat? Here is your opportunity! Teams are now forming for the Second Annual Dragon Boat Festival. The festival will be held at A.J. Jolly Park in Campbell County on Saturday, Sept. 10. Competition begins at 8:15 a.m.

Native plant program offered
Garden Connection, a program discussing native Kentucky plants, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Grant Count Extension Office, 105 Baton Rouge Road, in Williamstown. The class will be taught by master gardener Sharon Tepe.

Historical Society has ‘Show-and-Tell’
The Grant County Historical Society will meet on Aug. 15 at the Dry Ridge Christian Church on School Street.
This will be the annual picnic meeting, so each one is invited to bring a covered dish (salad, vegetable, desert, etc.). Fried chicken and beverages will be provided. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., which will be followed by a “Show and Tell” program by the members.
Bring a historical item, relic or heirloom and share its story with the group.

Simpson family will meet Aug. 20
The family of William Morgan and Katherine Flege Simpson will hold a reunion at 10 a.m. Aug. 20 at the Welfare House in the Grant County Park in Crittenden. Lunch will be served between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

Breeden-Lawrence families hold reunion
The Breeden-Lawrence family reunion will be held on Aug. 27 at the Lawrence residence, 3290 Taft Highway in Dry Ridge.
Lunch will begin at noon. Bring a covered dish and drinks. All friends and family are invited to come and enjoy the day.
Skirvin family plans reunion
The family of John and Annie B. Skirvin will hold their annual reunion at Lloyd’s Welfare House in the Grant County Park on Aug. 28.
