Tyler Carr signs with Shawnee State

Former Grant County Braves basketball player Tyler Carr has received a full athletic scholarship for men’s basketball to Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio. Carr signed his letter of intent Oct. 25th, with many family, friends and teammates on hand to show their support.

Carr was named to the District All-Tournament team as a sophomore and
junior as well as All 8th Region and to the Courier-Journal Honorable mention All State team for the 2012-2013 season for the Braves. Carr also scored 1,280 points in his career and led the Braves to their first undefeated 6-0 district record before moving on to Shelby Valley High School in eastern Kentucky.

“We are extremely proud to have a player with such a tremendous work ethic and dedication such as Tyler,” said Shawnee Head Coach Jeff Hamilton.
