Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary that occurred at Total Care Pharmacy in Dry Ridge on April 1.
Ricky Dwayne Gross, 23, of Dry Ridge, and Lloyd Adam Maxwell, 20, of Williamstown, were arrested on April 13 on charges of third degree burglary.
Dry Ridge Police Chief Rick Kells said police followed up on information they received which lead them to the two men.
“We appreciate the public’s willingness to come forward and provide us tips to follow up on,” Kells said.
More than 2,300 pills, including medication for treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and painkillers was taken from the pharmacy around 1:10 a.m. on April 1 when a suspect pulled away the sheet metal siding from the rear wall and knocked a hole in the drywall.
Police had a description of the suspect and believed more than one person were involved.
Kells said some of the drugs were recovered, but most were not. The arrests were a joint investigation of Kells, the Williamstown Police Department and Kentucky State Police.
