Crittenden-Mt. Zion Elementary kindergarten teacher Sandy Tubesing will receive $2,500 for being chosen as one of the 1996 Ashland Achievement Award winners.
She joins nine other Kentucky teachers, but is one of only two in the Northern Kentucky area who were selected. More than 9,400 nominations were received.
