Three new American flags are flying in Grant County, thanks to VFW Post 1918. Accompanied by members of the local American Legion, VFW members presented the flags in ceremonies on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The first presentation ceremony was held at the Northern Kentucky Comprehensive Care greenhouse on Barnes Pike. The vets then went to the Williamstown City Building for another ceremony. After that, they marched down Main Street to the courthouse and presented a third flag to the county. The courthouse ceremony included a 21-gun salute and the playing of “Taps.”
