Julie R. Johnson has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program at the U.S. Army recruiting Station in Florence. She is a graduate of Grant County High School and is the daughter of Douglas and Shelly R. Johnson of Williamstown.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Jason D. Combs, son of Dwight E. and Linda Combs of Crittenden recently completed a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea, while assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise. The 1994 graduate of Simon Kenton High School joined the Navy in 1995.
