Troopers assist at inauguration

Chris Steward had never been to Washington, D.C., so his first trip will be one he won’t soon forget.

Steward and Nate Moore, officers assigned to Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge had the opportunity to work security during the Inauguration of Pres. Barack Obama on Jan. 20.

“There were a lot of people, but I was surprised how good a mood they were all in,” Steward said.

Steward said he was impressed by the way the crowd took to Obama and referred to him by his first name.
