Heavy traffic from the July 4th holiday was brought to a standstill following an accident just before 5 p.m. July 5 about a mile north of the Dry Ridge exit.
Four people were injured when the 2000 Dodge van they were traveling in, smacked into a retaining wall.
Two were transported to University Hospital in Cincinnati by helicopter with serious injuries. Another was transported by the Dry Ridge Fire Department to University Hospital. The fourth refused treatment.
