Grant County Schools have a large pool of applicants to choose from in its search for a new superintendent.
Twenty-five people applied to replace Superintendent Michael Hibbett, who announced in November that he will be retiring after the 2010-11 school year.
Of the applicants, 22 are male and three are female while 23 are from Kentucky.
In terms of experience, four applicants are current superintendents in other districts, 12 have other district-level experience, five have no district-level experience and one is affiliated with an education organization.
