Special Olympics seeks volunteers

With the first-ever basketball team and cheerleading squad recently formed, Special Olympics in Grant County is in full gear.

The Grant County Jaguars basketball team began their season Jan. 17 at Caywood Elementary in Edgewood with tournaments on Feb. 8 in Paris and Feb. 21 in Union to follow.

The cheerleading squad will participate in its first competition on Feb. 1 in Richmond.

Signups were conducted in October for both groups.
