Morgan Spann is the Grant County High School Youth Performance Award winner for November.

She is a senior at GCHS and is the daughter of Mary and Robbie Nickell of Dry Ridge.

Extra-curricular activities: I am involved in the Future Business Leaders of America.

Community involvement: I almost always participate in Marigold Days. I attend Sherman Church of Christ and ring bells every year for the Salvation Army. I also provide a Samaritan shoebox for families in need.

Class schedule: My class schedule is geometry, computer tech, business principles and applications and Medicaid nurse aid.

Favorite class or classes: Business principles and applications and Medicaid nurse aid because there both classes that relate to my career and are more hands-on.

Favorite teacher(s): My favorite teachers are Mindy Roy and Sherry Lawson because the both encourage me to be the best I can be in life.

What do you do for fun/recreation: I like to spend time with family and friends, ride four-wheelers and shop.

Future plans: I plan to graduate high school, attend Pikeville University, major in bio-chemistry and eventually attend their medical school where I’ll graduate and become a radiologist.
