Recycling options better than ever

-A A +A

Did you know that you could particpate in curbside recycling for only $3 per month?
That’s right. Grant County residents can participate in curbside recycling for $3 per month and the recyclable materials will be picked up from your home every two weeks.
If you don’t want to pay $3 to have recyclable materials, which includes glass, paper, plastic, etc, picked up, you can transport them to three locations in the county.
Recycling bins are located at:
• Wal-Mart in Dry Ridge - the bin is located at the end of the access road near the Tire and Lube Center.
• Crittenden - in the Miller Industrial Park.
• Williamstown (behind Grant County Deposit Bank in downtown Williamstown.)
According to Bryan Miles, Grant County’s solid waste coordinator, two-thirds of all garbage is recyclable. That means that if you normally put out three cans of garbage for pickup and you and your family decide to start recycling, you’d cut your garbage to one can.
Miles said that some people feel that just one person can’t make a difference, but he said when it comes to recycling every person makes a difference.
