Racing returns to Kentucky Speedway this weekend

With the temperatures heating up, Kentucky Speedway officials are hoping that the racing will also heat up July 18 and 19 as the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series both invade the track in Sparta.

The ARCA RE/MAX Series will kick off the racing weekend on July 18 with the Kentucky 150. Last year, Michael McDowell proved to be lucky on Friday the 13th, using a late pit stop and pass on his way to Victory Lane.

McDowell drove past Cale Gale on lap 86, cruising to a victory of more than four seconds.
