Grant County Sheriff's Office

Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 11:54 a.m. Aug. 26 on Harlan Street. The drivers involved were Catarino G. Sapien, 32, of Crittenden, driving a 2005 Dodge and Carylon A. Springer, 60, of Crittenden, driving a 2010 Toyota.
Sgt. Andy Reeves investigated an accident at 9:48 a.m. Aug. 27 on Gardnersville Road. The driver involved was Penny A. Meredith, 49, of Crittenden, driving a 2002 Mercury.
Deputy Devorah Herbst executed a warrant for Brittany Elloitt, 20, of Corinth, for receiving stolen property, at 10:05 p.m. Aug. 29 on Main. Street. Herbst was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Kevin Burke executed two warrants for Daneil R. Vendler, 31, of Williamstown, for failure to appear in court, at 1:06 p.m.  and 10:22 p.m. Aug. 30 on Barnes Road. Vendler was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Kevin Burke executed a warrant for Larry Ackerman, 40, of Williamstown, for failure to appear in court, at 10:22 p.m. Aug. 30 on Barnes Road. Ackerman was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Kevin Burke charged Rodney T. Jones, 22, of Dry Ridge, with seven counts of theft by unlawful taking less than $500 at 5:24 a.m. Sept. 1 on Grantland Drive. Jones was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Scott Conrad executed a warrant for Daniel S. Sexton, 37, of Dry Ridge, at 2:34 a.m. Sept. 2 on Spillman Drive. Sexton was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
The sheriff’s office served 47 summons/subpoenas, served 50 hours in court, executed an emergency protective order, investigated two accidents involving out of county residents, executed two warrants involving out of county residents and drove 200 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Kacie M. Cleveland, 24, of Williamstown, at 10:58 p.m. Aug. 30 on McCoy Road. Cleveland was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police charged Daniel W. James, 25, of Corinth, with violation of Kentucky Emergency Protective Order at 11:17 p.m. Sept. 1 on Keefer-Lawrenceville Road. James was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Trooper Tim Vinal investigated an accident at 7:44 a.m. Sept. 2 on Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road. The driver involved was Breanne Fannon, 20, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1999 Chevrolet.
Trooper Ronald Gilbert investigated an accident at 10:03 a.m. Sept. 2 on Gardnersville Road. The drivers involved were Venessa Glass, 28, of Crittenden, driving a moped and Linda Bowen, 61, of Demossville, driving a 2008 Jeep.
Trooper Kyle Reams investigated an accident at 5:48 p.m. Sept. 2 on Dixie Highway. The drivers involved were Nelma Huff, 69, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2007 Chevrolet and Jeffrey Whalen, 45, of Corinth, driving a 1998 Nissan.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Jerry Adkins, 28, at 9:57 a.m. Sept. 3 on Old Corinth-Owenton Road. Adkins was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Steven Best, 37, at 1:36 p.m. Sept. 3 on Taft Highway. Best was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Williamstown Police

Officer Ron Perkins investigated an accident at 1:42 Aug. 28 on Barnes Road. The drivers involved were Harriet K. Norris, 62, of Independence, driving a 2002 Chevrolet and Simeon T. Skilling, 18, of Williamstown, driving a 2000 Dodge.
Officer Ron Perkins charged Matthew S. Hicks, 19, of Williamstown, with theft by unlawful taking or disposition/shoplifing at 4:21 p.m. Aug. 29 on Ferguson Boulevard.
Officer Ron Perkins charged Michael W. Webster, 28, of Dry Ridge, with operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to notify Department of Transportation of address change and failure to produce insurance card at 12:27 a.m. Aug. 30 on S. Main Street.
Officer David Osborne took Barbara Hess, 18, of Williamstown, into protective custody at 7:53 p.m. Sept. 2 on Lakeside Court.
Williamstown Police Department charged three out of county residents with speeding.
