Dry Ridge

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 12:30 p.m. March 18 on Blackburn Drive. The drivers involved were an unknown hit-and-run and Scott Chanley, of Huntington, Ind. hauling a 2013 recreational vehicle.

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 7:55 a.m. March 21 on Taft Highway. The drivers involved were a juvenile, 17, of Corinth, driving a 1992 Corolla and Judy I. Webster, 61, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2006 Hyundai. 

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 1:45 p.m. March 26 on Broadway Street. The drivers involved were Marilyn J. Peace, 61, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1998 Chevrolet and John Colenso, of Cookeville, Tenn. driving a 2002 BMW. 

 

Grant County Sheriff's Office

Deputy Mike Wright executed a warrant for Michael S. Harper, 26, of Dry Ridge, for contempt of court, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance and possession of heroin. Harper was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Deputy Bobby Webb executed a warrant for Peyton A. Ward, 19, of Williamstown, for failure to appear in court, at 11:35 a.m. April 10 in the limits of Williamstown. Ward was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Deputy Mike Wright investigated an accident at 3:11 p.m. April 1 on Knoxville Road. The driver involved was James Polley, 43, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2010 Subaru. 

Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 12:17 p.m. April 8 on Verona-Mt. Zion Road. The driver involved was Joseph W. Koo, 55, of Crittenden, driving a 1986 Honda. 

Deputy Mike Wright investigated an accident at 3:51 p.m. April 9 on Lebanon Road. The drivers involved was Johnathan P. Samples, 25, of Crittenden, driving a 1992 Nissan and Shirley A. Smith, 51, of Verona, driving a 2010 Ford. 

Deputy Mike Wright investigated an accident at 5:41 p.m. April 9 on Bingham Lane. The driver involved was Charles R. Springer, 63, of Crittenden, driving a 1971 Dodge. 

Deputy Andy Reeves investigated an accident at 12:15 p.m. April 10 on Main Street. The driver involved was Joan L. Mead, 85, of Covington, driving a 2006 Ford and a parked vehicle. 

Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 8:45 a.m. April 11 on Dixie Highway. The driver involved was Genevia D. Risner, 55, of Corinth, driving a 1990 Ford. 

Deputy Mike Wright investigated an accident at 2:24 p.m. April 12 on Broadway Street. The drivers involved were Wanda J. Hall, 77, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2002 Dodge and Ashli N. Martin, 24, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2004 Toyota. 

The sheriff’s office served 63 summons/subpoenas, served 55 hours in court, executed a emergency protective order, investigated three accidents involving out-of-county residents, executed two warrants involving out-of-county residents and drove 1,300 miles transporting prisoners.

 

Kentucky State Police

Kentucky State Police charged Jimmie Bush, 39, of Williamstown, with burglary and criminal mischief, at 6:33 p.m. April 8 on Napoleon Zion Station Road. Bush was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Philip Frommeyer, 27, of Crittenden, at 1:35 a.m. April 9 on Pimlico Court. Frommeyer was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Christopher W. Stidams, 22, of Crittenden, at 9:01 p.m. April 12 on Meadowview Circle. Stidams was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Kentucky State Police charged Justin T. Shanklin, 24, of Berry, with reckless driving, improper equipment, no insurance card, no seat belt and driving under the influence, at 12:32 a.m. April 12 on Georgetown Road. Shanklin was lodged at the Bourbon County Detention Center. 

Kentucky State Police executed two warrants for Jacob Sipply, 49, of Williamstown, at 1:52 a.m. on Taft Highway. Sipply was also charged with no operators license, no insurance card and driving under the influence. Sipply was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Trooper McTavish McDonald investigated an accident at 7:56 a.m. April 11 on Interstate 75. The drivers involved were Ryan Cole, 25, of Williamstown, driving a 2002 Dodge and Norman Lowther, 75, of Windsor, Ontario, driving a 2010 Buick. 

Trooper Brian Guilsoyle investigated an accident at 11:36 p.m. April 12 on Sherman-Mt. Zion Road. The driver involved was Koty Partin, 24, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1985 Ford. 

Trooper Christopher Marcum investigated an accident at 6:53 p.m. April 13 on S. Main Street. The drivers involved were John Smith, 36, of Milford, Ohio, driving a 2011 Toyota and Cody Taylor, 19, of Dry Ridge, driving a farm tractor. 

 

Williamstown

Officer Steve Cornman executed a federal indictment warrant for Phillip R. Pridgen, 33, of Williamstown, with four counts distribution of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to distribute, at 7:15 p.m. April 12 in the limits of Williamstown. Pridgen was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Officer David Osborne executed Boone and Kenton County warrants for Kevin T. Lawrence, 21, of Dry Ridge, for failure to appear and theft by unlawful taking, at 2:05 a.m. April 13 on Warsaw Avenue. Lawrence was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center. 

Officer Ron Perkins executed multiple warrants for Justin A. Carman, 24, of Williamstown, on a warrant for non-payment of fines, at 2:17 p.m. April 14 on Williamsburg Square. Carman was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 10:01 p.m. April 11 on N. Main Street. The drivers involved were Mary L. Grubbs, 48, of Williamstown, driving a 2005 Saturn and Troy A. Brooks, 25, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2013 Dodge.
