Dry Ridge

Chief Rick Kells executed a warrant, for nonpayment of fines, for Michael S. Ellis, 38, of Sadieville, at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 28 on S. Main Street. Ellis was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 28 on Broadway. The drivers involved were Carol W. Sponcil, 59, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2007 Toyota and Allen W. Browning, 60, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2001 Dodge.

Grant County

Sgt. Andy Reeves charged James R. Lawrence, 49, of Dry Ridge, with alcohol intoxication in a public place at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 30 on Broadway. Lawrence was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a warrant, for promoting contraband first degree, for Kristopher F. Cray, 25, of Dry Ridge, at 3:23 p.m. Oct. 30 on Barnes Road. Cray was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Mike Wright executed a warrant, for receiving stolen property under the value of $10,000, for David A. Webster, 39, of Jonesville, at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 31 on Jonesville Road. Webster was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Bobby Webb executed a warrant, for probation violation and contempt of court, for Gary E. Cole, 27, of Corinth, at noon Nov. 1 on Barnes Road. Cole was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Scott Conrad charged Russell E. Stone, 35, of Williamstown, with assault fourth degree at 3:13 p.m. Nov. 1 on S. Main Street. Stone was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Scott Conrad charged Heather N. Lister, 22, of Williamstown, with assault fourth degree at 3:40 p.m. Nov. 1 on S. Main Street. Lister was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Scott Conrad charged Steven M. Duncan, 20, of Jonesville, with assault fourth degree and failure to notify of address change at 8:06 p.m. Nov. 3 on Jonesville Road. Duncan was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Kevin Burke executed a warrant, for nonpayment of fines, for Robert W. Mullins, 19, of Crittenden, at 11:47 p.m. Nov. 3 on Barley Circle. Mullins was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office served 84summons/subpoenas, served 47 hours in court, served three emergency protective orders, investigated five accidents involving out of county residents, executed five arrests/warrants for out of county residents and drove 800 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for resisting arrest, for Tommy H. Hornback, II, 23, of Dry Ridge, at 11:43 a.m. Nov. 1 on Dixie Highway. Hornback was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Matthew R. Fox, 20, of Berry, at 11:12 a.m. Nov. 2 on Eureka Road.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Patrick Riley, 34, of Berry, at 1:34 p.m. Nov. 2 on Ridgeway Ave.

Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 1:52 p.m. Nov. 3 on Spears Lane. The drivers involved were Michael Thompson, 61, of Waterford, Mich., driving a 2001 Chrysler and Ada Skirvin, 76, of Williamstown, driving a 2000 Toyota.

Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 3:48 p.m. Nov. 3 on Taft Highway. The drivers involved were Emily Beach, 36, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2005 Chrysler and Mary Bond, 57, of Owenton, driving a 1998 Pontiac.

Trooper Charles Haselwood investigated an accident at 11:31 a.m. Nov. 4 on Knoxville Road. The driver involved was Michael Woodyard, 49, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1999 Nissan.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, for Michael Woodyard, 49, of Dry Ridge, at 3:48 p.m. Nov. 4 on Warsaw Road. Woodyard was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Joshua Turner, 18, of DeMossville, with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 10:02 p.m. Nov. 4 on DeMossville Road. Turner was turned over to Pendleton County authorities.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Eric England, 36, and charged him with no seat belt, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 5 on Knoxville Road.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for careless driving and operating on a suspended license, for Robert Moore, 61, of DeMossville, at 3:52 p.m. Nov. 6 on Menefee Road. Moore was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Trooper David Jones investigates an accident at 2:52 p.m. Nov. 6 on Straight Shoot Road. The driver involved was Timothy First, 40, of Crittenden, driving a 1997 Jeep.

Trooper Chad Mills investigated an accident at 4:09 p.m. Nov. 7 on Violet Road. The drivers involved were a hit-and-run driver and Lacey Jump, 23, of Crittenden, driving a 2001 Ford.

Kentucky State Police charged Tony Markland, 39, of Berry, with receiving stolen property firearm and receiving stolen property under $10 at 1:23 p.m. Nov. 7 on Crooked Creek Road. Markland was lodged at the Boone County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Ottis Gibson, Jr., 23, of Dry Ridge, at 4:50 p.m. Nov. 7 on Dixie Highway.

Williamstown

Officer Ron Perkins investigated an accident at 12:08 a.m. Nov. 2 on S. Main Street. The driver involved was Sharon S. Wainscott, 56, of Williamstown, driving a 1997 Chevrolet.

Asst. Chief Chris Hankins investigated an accident at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 2 on Fairview Road. The drivers involved were Vanessa M. Glass, 27, of Williamstown, driving a 1995 Pontiac and Rachele N. Lonkard, 27, of Williamstown, driving a 1998 Chevrolet.

Asst. Chief Chris Hankins investigated an accident at 8:32 a.m. Nov. 2 on Fairview Road. The drivers involved were Arthur W. Rice, 61, of Williamstown, driving a 1991 Chevrolet and Edward M. Lawson, 22, of Sparta, driving a 2006 Ford.

Officer Ron Perkins executed two bench warrants, for failure to appear at court, for Jill N. Hubble, 32, of Williamstown, at 9:51 p.m. Nov. 2 on Cherry Hill Drive.

The WPD charged out of county residents with operating on a suspended operator’s license, investigated two accidents involving out of county residents and executed a warrant for an out of county resident.
