Correction:
An item that appeared in the 2-17-11 issue of the News should have said Williamstown Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 7:27 p.m. on Feb. 12 on Charlotte Heights. The driver involved was Sandra Rankin, 41, of Williamstown. Rankin struck a parked 2000 Chevrolet belonging to Shirley Howard. She was later lodged in the Grant County Detention Center on various charges.
The News apologizes for the error.

GRANT COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 8:12 p.m. Feb. 12 on Lebanon Road. The drivers involved were Patrick D. Hansen, 25, of Demossville, driving a 1999 Ford and Brandon M. Rubinoff, 26, of Crittenden, driving a 2005 Saturn.
Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 8:33 p.m. Feb. 12 on Cordova Road. The driver involved was William W. Clifford, 38, of Williamstown, driving a 2004 Toyota.
Deputy Robert Morgan executed a warrant, for probation violation, for Devan Buckler, 20, of Corinth, at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 15 in Williamstown. Buckler was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Kevin Burke executed a warrant, for probation violation, for Jonathan T. Sharp, 20, of Crittenden, at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 15 on Barnes Road. Sharp was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 4:35 a.m. Feb. 15 on Dixie Highway. The driver involved was Sheila C. Martin, 31, of Corinth, driving a 1992 Honda.
Sgt. Dennis Switzer executed a warrant, for probation violation, for Gary E. Cole, 28, of Dry Ridge, at 10:02 a.m. Feb. 16 on Broadway. Cole was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Tim Slone executed a warrant for, for failure to pay fines, for Timothy Grissett, 49, of Williamstown, at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 16 on Barnes Road. Grissett was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Brian Maines executed an Owen County warrant, for possession of marijuana, for Harold J. Begley, 23, of Dry Ridge, at 2:28 p.m. Feb. 17 on Barnes Road. Begley was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Lee Jacobs charged Derek M. Blades, 18, of Williamstown, with possession of controlled substance at 2:59 p.m. Feb. 17 on Warsaw Road. Blades was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Ronnie West executed a warrant, for probation violation, for David A. Cavins, 47, of Dry Ridge, at 1:46 pm. Feb. 18 on S. Main Street. Cavins was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy James Lee executed a warrant, for failure to pay fines, for Christina M. Osborne, 25, of Dry Ridge, at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 18 on S. Main Street. Osborne was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Mike Wright executed a warrant, for failure to appear at court, for Donavon R. Marston, 20, of Williamstown, at 11:19 p.m. Feb. 18 on Taft Highway. Marston was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Brian Maines executed a Kenton County warrant, for failure to appear, for Brian Reusel, 34, of Crittenden, at 3:24 p.m. Feb. 18 on Harlan Street. Reusel was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 6:33 a.m. Feb. 18 on Warsaw Road. The driver involved was Steven E. Crittenden, 19, of Jonesville, driving a 2007 Toyota.
The sheriff’s office served 80 summons/subpoenas, served 55 hours in court, served one emergency protective order, executed four arrests/warrants for out of county residents and drove 512 miles transporting prisoners.

KENTUCKY STATE POLICE

Kentucky State Police charged Jason Douglas, 33, of Crittenden, with probation violation at 12:56 p.m. Feb. 14 on Big Bear Circle.
Sgt. Stacey May investigated an accident at 6:14 a.m. Feb. 15 on Dixie Highway. The driver involved was Kyle Reams, 24, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2006 Ford.
Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 1:27 p.m. Feb. 15 on Sherman Newtown Road. The driver involved was Carrie Whitton, 22, of Crittenden, driving a 2000 Dodge.
Trooper Mctavish McDonald investigated an accident at 7:58 a.m. Feb. 16. The driver involved was Susan Cloe, 47, of Berry, driving a 2000 Dodge.
Trooper Ronald Gilbert investigated an accident at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 17 on Warsaw Road. The drivers involved were, a juvenile, 17, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2009 Chevrolet and Trent Steiner, 38, of Walton, driving a 2008 Chevrolet.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for probation violation, for James Lawrence, 49, of Dry Ridge, at 1:20 a.m. Feb. 17 on Knoxville Road. Lawrence was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police charged Matthew D. Taylor, 19, of Crittenden, with careless driving, no operator’s license first, failure to produce insurance card at 2:06 a.m. Feb. 18 on Interstate 75. Taylor was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Cleveland R. Burchett, 40, of Crittenden, at 2:08 a.m. Feb. 18 on I-75. Burchett was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police charged Joseph Dolan, 31, of Williamstown with no seat belt at 11:37 a.m. Feb. 18 on Spears Lane. A warrant was also executed. Dolan was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police executed three warrants for Brian Rensel, 34, of Crittenden, at 4:42 p.m. Feb. 18 on Harlan Street.
Kentucky State Police charged Glenn Klette, 40, with assault fourth degree and failure to notify the Department of Transportation of address change at 10:46 p.m. Feb. 18 on Stewartsville Road.
Trooper Jeven Kedding investigated an accident at 8:50 p.m. Feb. 18 on Dixie Highway. The driver involved was Sonja Russell, 44, of Crittenden, driving a 1996 Toyota. Russell was charged  with driving under the influence and lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Trooper Mctavish McDonald investigated an accident at 1 p.m. Feb. 20 on Taft Highway. The drivers involved were Christina Hamblin, 32, of Dry Ridge, driving an Oldsmobile and Lori Trenary, 41, of Williamstown, driving a 2004 Toyota.
Kentucky State Police charged Martha Adams, 35, of Crittenden with burglary second degree, assault fourth degree, wanton endangerment, theft by unlawful taking firearm and criminal mischief first at 1:42 p.m. Feb. 20 on Markim Drive.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Rhonda Harrison, 39, of Crittenden, at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 21 on N. Main Street. Harrison was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police charged Brandon Richie, 26, of Dry Ridge, with driving under the influence, first, possession of open alcohol container, no operator’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance, first. Richie was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

WILLIAMSTOWN POLICE

Chief Al Rich investigated an accident at 2:58 p.m. Feb. 14 on N. Main Street. The driver involved was Tammy M. Harris, 40, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1998 Chevrolet.
Officer Ron Perkins investigated an accident at 11:06 p.m. Feb. 15 on N. Main Street. The driver involved was Amber M. Shepherd, 26, of Crittenden, driving a 2002 Toyota. Shepherd was charged with failure to wear seat belts.
Officer Ron Perkins charged Sherry L. Case, 41, of Williamstown, with operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license and failure to notify Department of Transportation of address change at 6:04 p.m. Feb. 15 on N. Main Street.
Officer David Osborne charged James W. Schulte, 65, of Sadieville, with careless driving at 4 p.m. Feb. 17 on Barnes Road.
Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 4:17 p.m. Feb. 17 on N. Main Street. The drivers involved were Jason P. O’Banion, 35, of Williamstown, driving a 1996 Toyota and Orvell W. Schooler, 61, of Williamstown, driving a 1996 Ford.
Sgt. Robert Reed investigated an accident at 5:38 a.m. Feb. 18 on Barnes Road. The driver involved was Barbara J. Bowen, 51, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2007 Hummer and a parked 2011 Toyota owned by David J. Duncan, 52, of Williamstown.
A Harrison County warrant was executed, for receiving stolen property valued less than $10,000, for an out of county resident.
