Chief Rick Kells executed two warrants for, failure to appear and pay fines, for Matthew James Ratlife, 18, of Dry Ridge, at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 30 on Michigan Avenue. Ratlife was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Chief Rick Kells charged Melissa Courtney, 32, of Corinth, with theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting at 2:45 p.m. Aug. 31 on Ferguson Boulevard. Courtney was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Chief Rick Kells charged Jennifer R. Franklin, 29, of Sadieville, with theft by unlawful taking/shoplifting at 1:35 p.m. Sept. 1 on Ferguson Boulevard.
Deputy Lee Jacobs investigated an accident at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 28 on Warsaw Road. The driver involved was Kasey D. Fryman, 18, of Bloomfield, Iowa, driving a 1992 Chevrolet and a parked 1990 Chevrolet owned by George Robbins of Dry Ridge.
Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 5:49 p.m. Aug. 30 on S. Main Street. The drivers involved were a juvenile, 17, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1998 Ford and Stephanie R. Richardson, 28, of Crittenden, driving a 2007 Chevrolet.
Deputy Devorah Herbst executed a warrant, for failure to pay fines, for Justin M. Malot, 19, of Williamstown, at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 30 on Barnes Road. Malot was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Scott Conrad charged Johnny R. Penn, 27, of Dry Ridge, with alcohol intoxication in a public place and protective custody danger to self or others, at 5:29 a.m. Sept. 2 on Jessica Drive. Penn was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Deputy Scott Conrad investigated an accident at 4:40 a.m. Sept. 4 on Interstate 75. The driver involved was Mickey K. Grey, 46, of Crittenden, driving a 2005 Buick.
The sheriff’s office served 85 summons/subpoenas, served 45 hours in court, served one emergency protective order, investigated three accidents involving out of county residents, executed three arrests/warrants for out of county residents and drove 300 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police charged William Howard, 32, of DeMossville, with failure to wear seat belts, driving with under the influence suspension and open container at 12:45 p.m. Aug. 29 on Ky. 17. Howard was lodged at the Boone County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police charged Brandon Cain, 30, of Corinth, with obstructed view, no insurance and operating with no drivers license at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 30 on Broadway. Cain was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Trooper Joshua Whitton investigated an accident at 8:41 p.m. Sept. 1. The drivers involved were Gregory Souders, II, 18, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1999 Chevrolet and Sean Dornbusch, 21, of Ft. Mitchell, driving a 1995 Chrysler.
Kentucky State Police charged Floyd Allen, Jr., 40, of Dry Ridge, with operation on a suspended license at 2:23 p.m. Sept. 3 on Ruthman Drive.
Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for theft by unlawful taking, for Coy Davidson, 28, of Williamstown, at 11:54 p.m. Sept. 6 on Cordova Road. Davidson was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.
Officer Ron Perkins executed a warrant, for probation violation, for Justin A. Carman, 22, of Williamstown, at 10:08 p.m. Aug. 30 on Salem Pike.
Chief Al Rich investigated an accident at 3:33 p.m. Sept. 2 on Fairview Road. The drivers involved were a juvenile, 17, of Williamstown, driving a 2007 Chevrolet and Michael R. Leighton, 37, of Crittenden, driving a 2007 Advance Manufacturing Company.
The Williamstown Police Department investigated an accident involving out of county residents.
