Dry Ridge

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 8:34 a.m. Aug. 20 on Taft Highway. The drivers involved were Chelsea M. Mardis, 19, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2002 Mitsubishi and Vernon R. Mullins, 66, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2006 Toyota.

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 3:41 p.m. Aug. 23 on Warsaw Ave. The driver involved was Keith A. Brewer, 44, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1994 Chevrolet.

Chief Rick Kells investigated an accident at 1:47 p.m. Aug. 24 on McCoy Road. The driver involved was Jacqueline R. Pitts, 25, of Walton, driving a 1997 Chevrolet and a parked 1996 Pontiac owned by Christine L. Link of Dry Ridge.

Grant County

Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 4:13 p.m. on Napoleon Zion Station Road. The drivers involved were Jared M. Justice, 21, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1995 Chevrolet and Keith Webster, 35, of Dry Ridge driving a 1992 Plymouth.

Deputy Mike Wright investigated an accident at 3:57 p.m. Aug. 11 on Interstate 75. The driver involved was Megan E. Potter, 23, of Williamstown, driving a 2004 Mazda.

Sgt. Terry Osborne investigated an accident at 6:55 a.m. Aug. 19 on Peaceful Road. The driver involved was Lynn White, 64, of Williamstown, driving a 2006 International and a parked 1993 Honda owned by Eva Gibson of Dry Ridge.

Sgt. Terry Osborne investigated an accident at 11:56 a.m. Aug. 19 on Napoleon Mt. Zion Road. The drivers involved were Amber R. Chaney, 20, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1999 Ford and William H. White, IV, 29, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2003 Ford.

Deputy Mike Wright charged Estill C. Willoughby, 40, of Williamstown, with assault fourth degree, failure to notify of address change and alcohol intoxication in a public place at 3:43 p.m. Aug. 21 on Turner Road. Willoughby was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Bobby Webb executed three warrants for Michael R. Woodyard, 49, of Dry Ridge, at 3 p.m. Aug. 25 on Barnes Road. Woodyard was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer executed a warrant, for nonpayment of fines, for Terry H. Hamblin, 18, of Dry Ridge, at 9:28 p.m. Aug. 25 on Broadway. Hamblin was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer executed a warrant, for possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, for William J. Morgan, Jr., 21, of Dry Ridge, at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 25 on Broadway. Morgan was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Terry Osborne executed a warrant, for failure to maintain insurance, for Eric Franks, 31, of Dry Ridge, at 10:50 a.m. Aug. 26 on Main Street. Franks was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office served 68 summons/subpoenas, served 50 hours in court, served three emergency protective orders, investigated seven accidents involving out of county residents, executed one arrest/warrant for an out of county resident and drove 408 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police

Trooper Douglas Carter investigated an accident at 1:49 p.m. Aug. 23 on Owenton Road. The driver involved was Michale A. Kelley, 49, of Corinth, driving a 1991 Ford.

Trooper Eric Barnett investigated an accident at 9:19 a.m. Aug. 26 on N. Main Street. The drivers involved were Zachary Woods, 18, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2007 Toyota and James Rayburn, 26, of Williamstown, driving a 2006 Chevrolet.

Trooper Tim Vinal investigated an accident at 1:19 p.m. Aug. 27 on Elliston Mt. Zion Road. The drivers involved were Michael Hughes, 32, of Cincinnati, driving a 2005 Ford and Justin Hinson, 28, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1998 Ford.

Trooper Douglas Carter investigated an accident at 3:56 p.m. Aug. 27 on Ferguson Boulevard. The drivers involved were Carol Inabnit, 62, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2004 Chrysler and Derk Smith, 33, of Owenton, driving a 2008 Toyota.

Trooper Douglas Carter investigated an accident at 5:16 p.m. Aug. 27 on Stringtown Road. The drivers involved were Richard Tucker, 48, of Berry, driving a 1997 Hyundai and Scott Cecil, 58, of Corinth, driving a 2002 Ford.

Trooper Tim Vinal investigated an accident at 1 p.m. Aug 28 on Spears Lane. The drivers involved were Justin Thomas, 29, of Crittenden, driving a 1994 Honda and Tanya Kidwell, 35, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2002 Dodge.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for James Glass, 20, of Dry Ridge, at 9:10 p.m. Aug. 28 on Barnes Road. Glass was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed seven warrants for Daniel Holder, 29, of Williamstown, at 1 p.m. Aug. 22 on Barnes Road.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant, for disorderly conduct, for Debra Lewis, 34, of Wiliamstown, at 1:37 p.m. Aug. 22 on Warsaw Avenue. Lewis was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed warrants for Clayton Barnes, 26, of Crittenden, at 3:51 p.m. Aug. 22 on Harlan Street. Barnes was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Daniel Conway, 27, of Sadieville, at 2:49 p.m. Aug. 24 on Barnes Road. Conway was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Byron O’Malley, 33, of Berry, with possession of drug paraphernalia, cultivating marijuana greater than five plants at 12:36 a.m. Aug. 27 on Hwy. 27. O’Malley was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Kevin E. Tucker, 50, of Berry, at 10:09 a.m. Aug. 27. Tucker was turned over to a transportation officer.

Kentucky State Police charged Scott Foster, 29, of Williamstown, with unlawful distribution of methamphetamine precursor, burglary third degree

Williamstown

Asst. Chief Chris Hankins investigated an accident at 1 p.m. Aug. 21 on N. Main Street. The drivers involved were Virginia J. Gilpen, 87, of Williamstown, driving a 2005 Ford and Tonda G. Murphy, 42, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2001 Chevrolet.

Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 6:13 p.m. Aug. 26 on the Dry Ridge bypass. The drivers involved were Elijah Varner, 17, of Walton, driving a 2001 Ford and George A. Torline, 40, of Crittenden, driving a 1998 Chrysler.

Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 8:33 p.m. Aug. 27 on Redwood Drive. The driver involved was Rachel A. Nehring, 18, of Williamstown, driving a 2007 Ford.

Officer David Osborne charged Thomas Alford Rothwell, 72, of Dry Ridge, with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first offense, disregarding a stop sign and failure to signal at 7:32 p.m. Aug. 28 on Warsaw Avenue. Rothwell was lodged at the Grant County Detention Center.

Officer Ron Perkins executed a warrant, for burglary third degree, for Beverly A. Barton, 28, of Dry Ridge, at 8:40 a.m. Aug. 29 on McCoy Road.

The Williamstown Police Department investigated two accidents involving out of county residents.
