Grant County Sheriff's Office

Deputy Andy Reeves investigated an accident at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 3 on Verona-Mount Zion Road. The driver involved was Ryan M. Culver, 17, of Dry Ridge, driving a 2005 Chevrolet.

Deputy Brian Maines investigated an accident at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 3 on Spears Lane. The drivers involved were William Sorrell, 71, of Crittenden, driving a 2005 Dodge and Angela M. Jones, 44, of Crittenden, driving a 2005 Hyundai.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 1 p.m. Sept. 4 on Violet Road. The drivers involved were Blanche B. Vater, 87, of Crittenden, driving a 1990 Ford and Marlene R. Samples, 56, of Crittenden, driving a 2007 Dodge.

Deputy Mike Garvey investigated an accident at 12:42 p.m. Sept. 9 on Main Street in Crittenden. The driver involved was Edward C. Alton, 40, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1985 Chevrolet.

Deputy Mike Garvey investigated an accident at 7:44 a.m. Sept. 7 on Interstate-75. The drivers involved were Crystal M. Schneider, 17, of Crittenden, driving a 2004 Dodge and Silvia D. Delgado, 19, of Morningview, driving a 2007 Chevrolet.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer investigated an accident at 12:44 p.m. Sept. 7 on Shady Lane. The drivers involved were Kimberly A. Koehler, 44, of Crittenden, driving a 1998 Dodge and Stacey A. Stephens, 34, of Crittenden, driving a 2006 Ford.

Sgt. Terry Osborne charged Leah S. House, 35, of Corinth, with assault at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Grant County Courthouse. She was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Terry Osborne charged David M. Suire, 37, of Dry Ridge, with theft by unlawful taking under $500 and theft by unlawful taking $500 to $10,000. The arrest occurred at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer charged Ethan A. Sturgil, 22, of Corinth, with a probation violation. The arrest occurred at 8:35 a.m. Sept. 10 at the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a detainer warrant for probation and parole for Tyler Franks. The arrest occurred at 5:41 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Grant County Detention Center.

Sgt. Dennis Switzer charged Chad M. Pigg, 20, of Williamstown, with vehicle nuisance and operating on a suspended license. The arrest occurred at 1:05 p.m. Sept. 11 in Cordova.

The sheriff’s office served 62 summons/subpoenas, spent 19 hours serving in court, served one emergency protective order, investigated four accidents involving out-of-county residents and arrested two out-of-county residents and traveled 144 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police

Kentucky State Police charged Paul Myers, no age given, of Demossville, with assault at 3:50 p.m. Sept. 7 on Ky. 491. Myers was lodged in the Boone County Jail.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Donald Worthington, no age given, of Dry Ridge at 11:01 p.m. Sept. 7 on Angela Drive. Worthington was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Christopher Stidams, 20, of Dry Ridge, at 2:58 a.m. Sept. 8 on Gardnersville Road. Stidams was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Wila Story, 43, of Dry Ridge, with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to produce insurance card at 7:06 a.m. Sept. 8 on Case Lane. Story was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for James Ballinger, 28, of Crittenden, at9:35 p.m. Sept. 9 on Lebanon Road. Ballinger was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Tyler M. Franks, 21, of Crittenden, with improper signal, driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance at 4:06 p.m. Sept. 10 on B.C. Cotton Drive. Franks was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Trooper Chad Mills investigated an accident at 1:35 a.m. Sept. 11 on Case Lane. The driver involved was Billy Elam, 48, of Jonesville, driving a 1996 Harley Davidson. Elam was later charged with disregarding a stop sign, fleeing, driving under the influence and failure to produce insurance card. Elam was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Brandon J. Abney, 19, of Dry Ridge, with fleeing or evading, theft by unlawful taking and possession of an open beverage container in a motor vehicle at 9:05 a.m. Sept. 11 on Assembly Church Road. Abney was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police charged Christopher Dunn, 24, of Dry Ridge, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:32 p.m. Sept. 11 on Dixie Highway. Dunn was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Trooper Eric Bowman investigated an accident at 12:35 p.m. Sept. 7 on Violet Road. The drivers involved were Angela Chenoweth, 33, of Crittenden, driving a 2004 Chevrolet and Glenna Fretto, 46, of Crittenden, driving a 1993 Chrysler.

Trooper Douglas Carter investigated an accident at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 9 on Taft Highway. An unknown driver hit a 2005 Ford owned by Crystal Cook, 24, of Dry Ridge.

Trooper Eric Bowman investigated an accident at 11:54 a.m. Sept. 11 on Broadway. The drivers involved were Robert Mann, 53, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1993 Pontiac and Daphne Hardin, 47, of Dry Ridge, driving a 1988 Chevrolet.

Trooper Jeremy Moore investigated an accident at 11:17 a.m. Sept. 12 on Ky. 491. The driver involved was McGarett Honeycutt, 29, of Williamstown, driving a 1988 Chevrolet.

Trooper Eric Bowman investigated an accident at 11:09 a.m. Sept. 12 on I-75. An unknown vehicle struck a 2006 Mazda owned by Micah Boles, 27, of Williamstown.

Sgt. Robert Reed charged Joshua M. Schehr, 28, of Dry Ridge, with failure to maintain insurance at 11:31 p.m. Sept. 9 on Arnie Risen Blvd.

Williamstown

Officer David Osborne charged Jennifer L. Kemper, 42, of Williamstown, with speeding and failure to produce insurance card at 4:56 p.m. Sept. 11.

Officer Ron Perkins investigated an accident at 9:07 a.m. Sept. 12 on U.S. 25 in Williamstown. The drivers involved were Clark C. Kinman, 47, of Williamstown, driving a 1999 Ford and Gregory J. Merz, 52, of Independence, driving a 2004 Chevrolet.

Williamstown police issued citations for speeding, rear license not illuminated, one headlight and possession of a forged instrument to out of county residents.
