Police Beat 1-7-10

Grant County Sheriff's Office

Deputy Kevin Burke executed a warrant for Virgil O. McKinney, 54, of Williamstown at 10:35 p.m. Dec. 26. McKinney was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Mike Wright charged Michael Kelley, 48, of Corinth with theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting) at 1:47 p.m. Dec. 27. Kelley was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Mike Wright executed a warrant for Buddy A. Wainscott, 38, of Williamstown at 9:37 a.m. Dec. 28. Wainscott was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a warrant for Lanny D. Slaughter, 33, of Dry Ridge at 11:20 p.m. Dec. 28.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a warrant for Harold J. Begley, 22, of Corinth at 11:31 p.m. Dec. 28. Begley was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a warrant for Derek L. Cole, 22, of Williamstown at 11:38 p.m. Dec. 28. Cole was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

Deputy Brian Maines executed a warrant for Thomas B. Worthington, 27, of Williamstown at 1:29 a.m. Jan. 1. Worthington was lodged in the Grant County Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office served 68 summons/subpoenas, served two emergency protective orders, executed four arrests/warrants at out of county residences and traveled 200 miles transporting prisoners.

Kentucky State Police

Kentucky State Police charged Marysol T. Alvarez, 38, of Crittenden with possession of marijuana with firearm enhancement and possession of drug paraphernalia at 8:47 p.m. Dec. 27.

Kentucky State Police charged Corey McClinton, 28, of Crittenden with alcohol intoxication, first offense at 8:48 p.m. Dec. 27.

Kentucky State Police charged Lanny Slaughter, Jr., 34, of Dry Ridge with speeding, no insurance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:06 p.m. Dec. 31.

Kentucky State Police charged Michael S. Harper, 23, of Dry Ridge with criminal possession of forged instrument at 11:15 p.m. Jan. 1.

Kentucky State Police charged Jose Chavez, 26, of Crittenden with one headlight, careless driving, no operator’s license, no insurance, first offense driving under the influence and no seatbelt at 11:40 p.m. Jan. 1.

Kentucky State Police executed a warrant for Gary Baker, II, 34, of Williamstown at 11:47 p.m. Jan. 1.

Williamstown

Officer David Osborne charged William J. Moore, 35, of Williamstown with assault, fourth domestic violence and failure to notify Department of Transportation of address change.

Officer David Osborne investigated an accident at 4:09 p.m. Jan. 1 on Falmouth Street. The driver involved was Timothy E. Sheckels, 50, of Falmouth driving a 1987 GMC that ran through a fence.

Officer Steve Cornman executed a warrant for Todd Phillip Kinney, 43, of Dry Ridge at 9:59 p.m. Dec. 31.

Officer Ron Perkins executed a warrant for Lois G. Owen, 61, of Williamstown at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 28.
