On a bright sunny April morning, Grant County Little League Baseball and T-ball, held their opening day games at Grant County Park in Crittenden.
The children lined up against the fences, as their teammates stepped up to the plate, kicking dirt up in the batter’s box.
The umpires, chanted the two words that gear people up for baseball, “Play Ball.”
Regardless of who won, all of the children got to play and the parents and attendees experienced a day full of games on three fields in the park.
From T-ball, to machine pitch, to Little League Baseball, everyone participated in the games.
After playing an inning and heading to the bench, the players were met with snacks and cool refreshments.
A day full of baseball, as the children got to experience America’s Pastime in the 21st century.
