Norman W. Dunn, 79, of Williamstown, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Williamstown.
Norman retired with 35 years of service from the Western-Southern Life Insurance Company. He was born in Cordova to the late Floyd and Roxie Milner Dunn. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the Sherman Church of Christ. He held a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the Salmon P. Chase College.
He was a member and former secretary for the Grant County Cattlemen’s Association, a member of the Limousin Cattle Association, former member, elder and deacon with the Erlanger Church of Christ and he was a Kentucky Colonel.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Marley Dunn and his sisters, Marjorie Hook and Melrose Lawrence.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dunn of Williamstown; a son, Daniel W. Dunn of Union; a daughter, Karen A. Burton of Lexington; a brother, Wendell R. Dunn of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Dunn Ransdell of Burlington and four grandsons, Chase A. Dunn, Carson T. Burton, Clay W. Burton and Conner J. Burton.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 7 at the Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ in Williamstown.
Burial with military honors was in the Williamstown Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation or to Camp Northward.
