Best advice you have ever received:  The best advice I have ever received is simply, “wait.”  I heard a sermon that said to wait, because God will provide in His perfect timing.  I believe that I did indeed wait for this teaching opportunity, and I couldn’t be happier!

Describe your approach/philosophy to teaching?  I have an individualized approach to teaching.  Each student is different and learns different.  I find the ways that the student learns best and work with them and teach them that way.  Teaching is not “one size fits all.”  In exceptional children, I find that they don’t have a disability, they have abilities and it’s my job to utilize those.
Favorite book and movie?  Footloose with Kevin Bacon is my all time favorite movie.  I can still recite the lines word for word when it’s on.  My favorite book is “Look Me In the Eye” by John Robison, an adult with Asperger Syndrome who tells about his life growing up on the autism spectrum.
Best advice you have ever received:  I believe that everything happens for a reason.  We don’t know what that reason is, but trust that things will work out as they should.
