Murder suspect indicted

Two Owen County men were indicted by a Franklin County grand jury May 9 after allegedly strangling a Frankfort man to death and dumping his body on the side of Interstate 64 in Franklin County.

Joshua Hammond, 31, and David Bruce II, 44, both of Owen County were indicted in Franklin Circuit Court on the charges of murder, assault, first-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence.

A third man from Grant County, James Simons, 35, was also indicted on the same charges.
