Local athletes shine at state track meet

Several local high school athletes competed May 20 in the state track and field meet at the University of Kentucky.
The Williamstown High School 4x800 relay team place eighth in the state with a time of 8.41.29. It was a new school record for the team, which consists of Micah McCain, Caden Tien, Bradley Perkins and Jackson Reaves.
In the 4x400 relay, a team of Perkins, McCain, Ben Kinsey and Jeff Kinman finished with a time of 3.58.40 to place 24th in the state. Perkins also placed 17th in the state in the 800.
