The Grant County Lady Braves started their match Sept. 29 against the Henry County Wildcats with a cheer led by Gwen MacAdams.
Bethany Lawerence scored first with a penalty kick.
With 8:20 left in the first half the two teams started to slow down, but the start of the second half was fast and hard hitting with the Wildcats looking to score and tie up the game.
Dana Liggett had other ideas. Liggett roared down the field, called out to teammate Kelsey Lund for a pass and slammed the ball into the back of the net.
