Police are looking for two men who allegedly entered a Dry Ridge home on Warsaw Road in an attempt to steal medications.

The men, who police said walked into the unlocked residence, were dressed in black and wore sunglasses and masks during the incident on March 17, according to police.

One suspect was armed with a handgun as the intruders demanded only the victim’s medications, said Dry Ridge Police Chief Rick Kells.

“The owner resisted and the perpetrators fled,” he said.

Police were called to the residence at 12:11 p.m. regarding a home invasion.

The suspects left the residence without taking anything and were last seen going westbound on Warsaw Road.

It is believed that they were in a blue passenger vehicle, possibly a Chevy Cobalt.

“In this particular incident, there were plenty of witnesses who saw the perpetrators before the incident occurred, but they failed to call 911 because they did not want to get involved,” Kells said. “The best thing to do if you see something suspicious is to go ahead and call the police. It’s better to check it out than not do anything.”

The break-in appears to be have no connection to a home invasion that occurred July 23, 2009, on Ellen Kay Drive in Dry Ridge, according to police.

Kells said the descriptions of the suspects do not match.

Anyone with information about the case or a vehicle matching the description in the case should call Kentucky State Police dispatch at 428-1212.
