INDICTMENTS

The grand jury, which met Aug. 1, returned indictments against 17 people.
An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial process.
Those indicted were:
• Charles E. Jones, 26, burglary in the second degree.
• Matthew J. Ratliff, 20, burglary in the third degree and theft by unlawful taking with a value under $500.
• Joseph F. Chandler, 19, burglary in the third degree and theft by unlawful taking with a value under $500.
• Darrell W. Louden, 38, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense and possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, first offense.
• Stephanie A. Mullins, 23, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense and possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, first offense.
• Kevin M. Ruholl, 35, manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense and being a persistent felon in the first degree.
• Joshua G. Garland, 30, manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense and being a persistent felon in the first degree.
• David W. Glass, 23, assault in the second degree.
• Clinton Terpening, 44, trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense and possession of marijuana.
• John K. Gosnell, 44, trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense.
• Darlene N. Buttery, 40, bail jumping in the first degree.
• Michael D. Jones, 34, bail jumping in the first degree and being a persistent felon.
• Paul M. Mullins, 34, flagrant nonsupport.
• AJ Tubbs, 26, flagrant nonsupport
• Susan Marksberry, 39, false statement/misrepresentation to receive benefits over $100.
• Karie D. Meadows, 20, theft by unlawful taking with a value over $10,000.
• Harold J. Begley, 24, burglary in the fourth degree and theft by unlawful taking with a value over $500.
