The grand jury, which met June 30, returned indictments against 11 people.
An indictment means there is probable cause to believe a crime has been committed; guilt or innocence is established later through the trial procedure.
Those indicted were:
• Patysisio Gamez, 33, criminal possession of a forged prescription.
• Shawn W. Mardis, 38, possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia, second or subsequent offense.
• Daniel J. Holder, 29, two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense and persistent felony offender, first degree.
• Andrew H. Richardson, 33, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property with a value of $500 or more and persistent felony offender, first degree.
• Chyane N. Miller, 35, welfare fraud.
• Bobby Stevenson, Jr., 45, receiving stolen property valued over $500.
• Bobby Stevenson, III, 24, receiving stolen property valued over $500.
• Gregory Dean Penick, 50, flagrant nonsupport.
• Kevin Wayne Farris, 32, flagrant nonsupport.
• Dustin Wayne Griffith, 30, receiving stolen property valued over $500 and persistent felony offender, first degree.
• Danita L. Beyersdoerfer, 31, promoting contraband, first degree and persistent felony offender, second degree.
